Jamie Rahrig is a Senior Academic Specialist at the Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS) at Michigan State University and MSU Product Center. She is responsible for coordinating assistance for food and farm businesses across the Great Lakes Midwest through programs that support more resilient and diverse local and regional food ecosystems, including the Michigan Good Food Fund, a mission-driven lending network that provides flexible financing and tailored business assistance, and the Great Lakes Midwest Regional Food Business Center, a program spanning across IL, IN, MI, and WI bringing over $10M to service providers and eligible food and farm business owners.
 
Jamie is lead author of several publications including the MSU CRFS Funding Resources for Food Related Businesses, a guide to assist food and farm businesses in accessing funding, the Loan Readiness Toolbox for Food and Farm Businesses, a toolkit of resources designed specifically to help food and farm businesses prepare for lending, and Producing a Value-Added Product on the Farm, information sheets to help farmers decide if producing a value-added product on the farm is right for their farm. 
 
A Registered Dietitian, Jamie holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan – Flint, a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University, and Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of South Florida.
